In 1992, owner Randy Patzner bought the property now known as Trickling Waters Retreat. After buying the property, Randy became enamored with the idea of opening a bed and breakfast. By the fall of 1995, he decided to cut down a huge weeping willow tree that was growing between the main house and the garage so that he could run water and sewer between the two buildings. During the winter months, Randy moved inside the garage to install the electrical, plumbing, drywall, and some finishing touches to create the suite that we now call The Evening Veranda. This brought about the birth of Eagles View in 1996 (the original business name).

In the year 2000, the business truly became a family business. They completed a new two-story building behind the main house. The building was created with the vision of giving a more rustic atmosphere, complete with a gas fireplace. This building has come to be known as The Garden Shed. Since building The Garden Shed, they have worked together to take care of the property by completing periodic upkeep and renovation projects.
Since the business' modest beginnings in 1996, the Patzner family has been providing guests with a place of seclusion and vibrant natural beauty that is perfect for romantic getaways, peaceful retreats, and private, relaxing vacations. We strive to supply our guests with a unique experience that they will enjoy, remember, and hopefully want to come back for year after year.
